Registering and Logging On:

From Wordshark/Numbershark 3.07 to 4.10

Version 5: Use detailed notes in network instructions

Many schools and colleges use Wordshark and Numbershark across their age and ability ranges, and register several hundred students onto the programs.

From release 3.07, three improvements to our Admin facilities support this:

Wordshark and Numbershark can now accept bulk import of student names from .csv (Comma Separated Variable) files

Once registered into one of our programs, students can all be registered into the sister program at the touch of a button.

As a further support for busy classrooms, both programs now support Shibboleth (automatic) logging in:  Register a child to either program using their network login ID: When they use the program having first logged onto the computer, they will be allowed directly into the program without having to sign on for a second time.

For this to work, you need children to log in with unique and recognisable usernames. Username “Fred.Smith” is fine. “FrS0rf4290” will NOT make this a helpful feature.
